Robotic harvesting for Vertical Aquaponics

Been thinking about what it is that makes robot harvesting difficult. Part of the problem is picking up the cut leaves.

By growing vertically that harvesting could be easier, using a relatively cheap robot arm with scissors and a bucket

You’d need to move the arm around, possibly using Tslot as rails

And a kind of trolley to mount the arm on, moved along by a stepper motor. You could provide 12v through the rails.

You could then raise or lower the arm on a platform supported by threaded bar (Like a big 3D Printer)

 

The vertical and horizontal motion could be done with Vslot belts
